Unlock DVD Region Codes to Make DVD Region Free on Mac

As we all known, DVD is restricted by the region codes that designed to protect the copyright and film distribution rights. However, it causes a lot of inconvenience to our life. There are many times that we need to play DVDs in other countries other than the country that we bought the DVD and it turn out that the DVD can't be played because of the region code restriction. Though we can change the region code, it is up to 5 times.

The final and perfect solution is to unlock DVD region code. Here is how I unlock DVD region code and make DVD region free on my Mac(The latest Mac OS 10.8 Mountain Lion is also supported).

Required Software

DVD ripper for Mac – It can remove any protection off DVD and make DVD region free! What's more, it can copy DVD data from disc to Mac then we can play DVD movies from Mac directly without inserting the disc everytime.

 

Get Start

Step 1: Load DVD

Launch the DVD Ripper for Mac and click the "Load DVD" to load the DVD disc.

Step 2: Choose output profile

From "Profile" select the output profile according to your device. ie. "General Video > MOV - Quicktime Video (*.mov)".

Step 3: Set the output destination

From "Destination" you can easily set up the output dir.

Step 4 Convert!

Just hit the big button to start the process. The amount of time it takes will depend on the file format and size of the DVD but it will take a while no matter what.
